Intangible Cultural Heritage of Slovakia

Slovakia has two elements inscribed on the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity:

1. Fujara – the musical instrument and its music, 

2. Music of Terchová, 

3. Bagpipe culture.

Regarding the protection of intangible cultural heritage, there was also another list called "Best Practices" created, which currently includes 12 programs, projects and activities that have proven to be best for the protection of intangible cultural heritage and are marked as  the best by the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Slovak Republic has also took its place in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and has  four elements inscribed in it:

1. Fujara - musical instrument and its music
2. Terchovská music
3. Bagpipe culture
4. Puppetry in Slovakia and Czech Republic
5. Horehronic multi-vocal singing
6. Blueprint
7. WIRE CRAFT and ART
